North Babylon is a delightful hamlet and census designated place (CDP) in the Town of Babylon found in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. At the time of the 2010 census, the population of North Babylon was approximately 17,509 residents. North Babylon has a total area of 3.4 square miles, which is almost entirely land. Robert Guggenheim, the industrialist and brother-in-law to Newsday founder later lived at the home on Deer Lake, now known as Parkdale Estates. More recent notables include Edie Falco, television actress from The Sopranos, and American Rapper LL Cool J who both lived in North Babylon in the 70’s.
